The Not SoFine Print
Straight Talk · No SurprisesHow It Works
Customs are batch orders. Yours goes on the list the moment you check out; a few days after the deadline above we place the whole batch with Viper. From there it's built from zero — average wait from the deadline is about 4 months — and we email every update along the way.
Why $30 Off
You pay up front. That helps our cashflow and lets us order more often — so every custom sells at $30 under retail. You're not paying extra for made-to-order. You're paying less.
Cancellation
Customs can only be canceled before the batch is sent to Viper. We email you 3–5 days before placing it; you have 48 hours to pull out. No response counts as confirmation to proceed.
How ToOrder
Shaft Flex
A steering blade lives a rougher life than a paddle — it leans on the ama, bangs the gunwale, holds against pressure. Soft (100% bamboo) takes the knocks: more impact-resistant, springier, easier on your joints over a long day in the seat. Hard (100% carbon) is lighter and stiffer — corrections land the instant you ask.

Blade Size
Two steering cuts, both on Viper's Peperu 4° blade. Small — 24 × 54 cm (930 cm²): quicker to swing, easier corrections. Long — 23 × 58 cm (971 cm²): more face to lean on when the water gets big.

Paddle Length
Cut in half-inch steps, 38.5–54 inches. Not sure? Guess a touch long — a paddle can always come down, it can never grow back.

See WhereIt's Born
Eight moves, fifteen builders, one shed on Ra'iātea. Your blade is drawn, molded, laid up by hand, signed, and flown to SoCal — we wrote the whole story down.
